Transition Team Update

The Transition Committee is hard at work using the information from the Listening Sessions to prepare Good Shepherd’s Ministry Site Profile (“MSP”). This is the document that is submitted to the Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA that will be available to pastors who are open to considering a Senior Pastor call to Good Shepherd. Once the MSP is submitted, the work of calling our next Senior Pastor using the information gathered by the Transition Committee will be turned over to the Call Committee elected by the congregation. The anticipated schedule is as follows:

1. The Transition Committee is to submit a draft of the MSP to the Council for its January meeting.

2. The Call Committee is elected at the Annual Meeting (February 2, 2025)

3. A congregation meeting will be scheduled with the Bishop to discuss the MSP and call process (early to mid-February)

4. The MSP becomes live with the Synod after the congregation meeting with the Bishop
   (mid to late February)

5. The Call Committee begins its work in late February through the call of a Senior Pastor
