Transition Team Update

Thank you to the many of you who participated in one or more of the 9 recently concluded Listening Sessions, which were led by members of our Transition Team. The purpose of these sessions was to garner input about our congregation and about the characteristics desired in the candidate who will be selected to be our next senior pastor. We were very pleased that more than 75 people attended or participated in one or more of these Listening Sessions.

The Transition Committee is now working to distill the input from these Listening Sessions into key messages and themes. This information will be reported in a document from the ELCA Minneapolis Area Synod (called a Ministry Site Profile) that the Transition Committee is working to prepare. The Team’s goal is to share a draft of the completed Ministry Site Profile before the upcoming 2025 annual meeting, which is scheduled for February 2, 2025. The Ministry Site Profile is what will be shared with potential candidates who might be interested in our Senior Pastor position.
