May 19, 2024 Pastoral Update

As we move into summer, be assured that the Council is working diligently and prayerfully to move us forward in the process for calling our next Senior Pastor. It has been quite some time since our congregation has been through a call process. We are committed to a process where we listen to each other, reflect on who we are as a congregation, and take the time necessary to call the individual who is right for the vision for our congregation. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing information about this process, including timing of the establishment of a call committee per our constitution. While the timing of calling a Senior Pastor will be dependent on a number of factors, we understand that we should plan for a transition period of about 12 to 18 months. Information about our interim pastor staffing during this time will be shared soon. This is an exciting time for our congregation and one that is full of wonderful possibilities. As we are in this in between time, we are confident that the ministries of Good Shepherd will continue to flourish thanks to our wonderful and talented staff.
